Reception staff are useless and lazy. I needed to get a replacement insulin pen. After talking to PRH they told me I could get one from the diabetes nurse at Madeley medical practice. I was told the address and opening times as well. Went to Madeley medical practice first thing, where at the reception was told they didn't have one without them even checking and that I must have gone to the wrong medical practice despite been given the address for Madeley's. There were no other patients in reception at this time so it wasn't like they didn't have the time to check.When I asked to speak to the diabetic nurse they said she wouldn't be there until 2:30. I was then asked for my details and as they are not my normal doctors they don't have them so was told they couldnt help me. I have previously attend three appointments with the diabetic nurse there despite them not being my normal doctors. When I told the receptionist that I had been there I few times was told I was lying I couldn't have. I left annoyed as I wasn't getting anywhere and while walking across the car park another nurse came running over and asked if I was there to see the diabetic nurse. I was taken to see her where my insulin pen was waiting with a sticky note on it saying FAO: so they were obviously expecting me. Advice to Madeley medical practice. Replace your reception staff with more competent people.
They are the worst doctors ever you are put on hold for about 10mins then when answer the receptionist think she's a doctor telling you what's wrong and what you should take and never give you appointment and it's nearly empty all the time.
took ages to get anything done, had to go back several times to get a form although each time they said itll be there the next time. Plus they lost my other form which i needed to show someone! Not good and stressful
My father in law has a bad chest infection plus other illnesses the GP he saw would not give him any form of antibiotic or even send him for a chest X-ray. So he went to the walk in at prh where he saw a proper dr that did give him antibiotics and said that he needed to have an X-ray mainly because of what he was coughing up and his age. So madeley medical practice need to pull their fingers out of their backsides and start taking people's illnesses seriously.
